discussion forum to exchange experiences on curriculum development toward international standards

The Department of Chemical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT) organized a discussion forum to exchange experiences on curriculum development toward international standards, following the achievement of ABET accreditation for the Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical Engineering program.

The program has been accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET, an internationally recognized organization for quality assurance in engineering and technology education.

Receiving ABET accreditation confirms that the program meets international standards and is capable of producing graduates who are well-prepared for the engineering profession. Graduates are equipped with the capability to drive innovation and technological advancement while maintaining strong awareness of public safety and welfare.

This achievement was made possible through the invaluable support and guidance of a distinguished advisory team, including:

  • Prof. Dr. Methee Wecharatana
  • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Weera Chankong
  • Prof. Dr. Pavanee Narattraksa

The department also gratefully acknowledges the support from the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, as well as the university administration, the Faculty of Engineering leadership, and various internal units at KMUTT that contributed to the successful development of the program toward international accreditation.

📍 The event was held on 11 March 2026
at CHE 225, 2nd Floor, Chemical Engineering Building.

The forum was honored by the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Suvit Saetia, President of KMUTT, along with university executives, Faculty of Engineering administrators, advisory team members, faculty, staff, and distinguished guests.
