MOU Signing with TIChE for the Young Leadership Program for Sustainability

The Department of Chemical Engineering, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), had the honor of welcoming Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tawich Pulngern, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, as the representative of the KMUTT President to attend the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with The Thai Institute of Chemical Engineering And Applied Chemistry (TIChE) under the Young Leadership Program for Sustainability initiative.

🌱 The Young Leadership Program for Sustainability aims to equip students with the potential to grow into the next generation of engineering leaders through active learning integration, analytical and critical thinking, multi-level questioning, and connecting academic knowledge with industry practices.
In this program, Asst. Prof. Dr. Jindarat Pimsamarn, a faculty member of the department, serves as one of the coaches, playing an important role in designing learning experiences and closely supporting students in developing essential skills.

In addition, faculty members of the department participated in the seminar:
“Reimagining Chemical Engineering Education for a Sustainable Future,”
an activity under this MOU, which included:

🔸 A Growth Mindset Workshop
🔸 Training on multi-level questioning techniques to achieve deeper insights
🔸 A panel discussion on essential skills for future chemical engineers, with Asst. Prof. Dr. Jindarat Pimsamarn representing the department as one of the panelists 👏
